Phi Phi Islands

Phi Phi Island (Derek Ford) ( DEREK FORD ) I like to visit the most remote and beautiful places in Thailand. Phi Phi Island is the one I have been to the most. There are only a handful of hotels on this island, and they are excellent. You have to hire a boat to get here. I am not kidding you. I had to pay a half a day’s work to take a boat from Nai Yang (which is where the ferries leave for Ko Phi Phi) to find a hotel on the island.

The hotel I stayed at was the most expensive in Thailand. The only reason I took a boat to find the hotel was because there are no roads on this island. The hotel I stayed at was about a 15 minute walk from a beach where you could snorkel. They rent out bicycles for rent, which is great because you can ride everywhere.
