The Taj Mahal

The Taj Mahal is arguably the most beautiful and well-known building in India. It was built by Emperor Shah Jahan, who originally wanted to build a black marble version of it for his wife Mumtaz's tomb, but she died during childbirth so he decided to create this one instead. Construction took over two decades with around 20,000 workers involved and has an area of 48 acres. The Taj Mahal is said to be a symbol of love as its design reflects that through the use of geometric shapes like octagons and triangles which represent eternal love or the union between man and woman. This blog post will provide you with some more information on this iconic landmark.

The Taj Mahal is arguably the most famous building in India.

The Taj-Mahal is one of the famous place of the world. This breathtaking mausoleum was built by Emperor Shah Jahan in 17th century India. It took 22 years to construct and has been a UNESCO World Heritage Site since 1983. The building houses an ornate crypt, which can accommodate 6-8 people at its center, as well as many other rooms for various purposes including sleeping quarters for the ladies who would care for Mumtaz's body after her death.

The Red Fort

The Red Fort is the palace of Mughal Emperor Shah Jahan in Delhi, India. Built between 1638 and 1648, it was originally known as the "Qila-i-Mubarak" after its builder emperor's father. The Red Fort is one of the most well preserved structures from 17th century India.

The fort has been symbolized by a red color since ancient times in order to signify bravery and valor. It was given its current name of "Red Fort" because much of it had been painted that color at different periods for contrast with white marble or sandstone buildings nearby. This building complex covers an area 6 hectares (14 acres). The main attraction inside this fort are many palaces.

The Red Fort in Delhi is one of the most popular tourist destinations, because it's full of historical anecdotes. Built by Shah Jahan, this fort has been a witness to many major events in India's history and was home to the emperors for more than 200 years. The architectural marvel also houses some beautiful gardens on its premises.   As you wander through these elaborate gardens, be sure to take some time out for reflection at the Diwan-i-Khas or Hall of Private Audience which was reserved exclusively for royalty.  This hall is adorned with exquisite marble carvings and frescoes on its ceilings and walls that speak volumes about how much effort went into making it what it is today - a work of art.

The Holy City of Varanasi

The city of Varanasi is one of the holiest cities in India. It has been a spiritual destination for centuries, and it's believed that if you die there- then your soul will be cleansed and taken to heaven. As such, many people travel from all over the world to visit this holy place. The best way to explore Varanasi is through its religious festivals which are often held every year during different seasons of the year. There are also several temples in the area that visitors can visit including Banaras Hindu University (BHU).

Varanasi is known as "The Holy City" because it was once a great capital where kings ruled for hundreds of years before moving their capital to Delhi.

Varanasi is one of the beautiful and oldest living cities on earth. It's a city filled with temples, ghats, and people. The locals will take you to visit their family homes so that they can feed you and show you around. One of these homes was my favorite because it was a typical Indian household which consisted of many rooms for sleeping as well as separate quarters for cooking food or preparing sweets in the back yard. This particular home had an open space with two beds on either side where we were invited to lay down and rest before we left!
